What To Do If Someone in Your Household Gets Sick with the Flu

The Central Connecticut Health District (CCHD) is responsible for providing a comprehensive environmental and public health services program in the Towns of Berlin, Newington, Rocky Hill and Wethersfield. This includes enforcement of state and municipal public health and environmental health laws pertaining to such areas as food establishments, public pools, motels, septic systems, private wells, day care centers, rental housing, rodent control, litter and nuisance complaints.

The District coordinates a variety of health education and promotion programs including foot care, nutrition education, diabetes self-care, senior health promotion and several health screening clinics. The District is also responsible for the investigation and follow-up of all reportable communicable diseases.

The Central Connecticut Health District is committed to preserve, protect, promote and improve the quality of life in a healthy environment through the prevention of diseases, ongoing health education opportunities and the enhancement of the well being of its citizens.
